What Five Letters is

Guess the day’s five-letter word in six tries. Green is in place, amber is elsewhere in the word — and the whole world is chasing the same answer.

Five Letters is Table Party’s daily word puzzle, inspired by the five-letter guessing format. Green marks a letter in its correct place, amber marks a letter elsewhere in the word, and grey rules a letter out subject to the word’s repeated-letter feedback.

In the two-player version, both phones share the same grid. Either player can submit a row, so agree on the next guess before one of you enters it. The daily board ranks fewer guesses before faster solving.

How to play Five Letters

  1. One secret five-letter word, the same for everyone today. You have six guesses.
  2. Every guess must be a real word. After it lands, each letter tells you what it knows: green is in the right place, amber is in the word somewhere else, grey is not in it.
  3. The keyboard remembers — letters wear their best verdict so far.
  4. The clock counts UP. The daily board ranks the fewest rows first, then the fastest solve.
  5. Play it alone or with one friend on a second phone — you share one grid, either of you can play a row, and you watch each other type. Same leaderboard either way. Three or more at the table race on a fresh word instead, each on your own grid.
